Islam is growing rapidly while in the U.S., church attendance in mainstream denominations is falling though gains are being made in fundamentalist sects. One question we can try to answer
is why, since Islam is considered one of the three mainstream world religions, it is becoming more popular while Christianity in particular seems less relevant than ever before. Also, while
this paper touches on militant Islam, it doesnt focus its attention there, nor is it helpful if America as a nation looks at only one aspect of the Islamic faith
and ignores the rest. Perhaps the best place to start is with the book Heavy Metal Islam, a wonderful title that probably has readers wondering "is he serious with that
