consumers in the market. Looking at Kuwait as a whole there is an increasing population, over the next twenty-five years major increases are expected, with the birth rate increasing,
and many sources of mortality or morbidity being controlled the result is a significant increase in the level of population. Looking at the next 25 years the population is expected
to increase significantly, from the current level of 5,578,264 to 10,095,158 an expected increase of 81% over the next 25 years (US Census Bureaux, 2010). This was the increased level
of individuals at all lifecycle stages, with a significant increase in the number of individuals over 50 years. When looking at the current population of Kuwait it is estimated that
there are 276,835 individuals over the age of 50 years (US Census Bureaux, 2010). This is expected to increase significantly, in line with the general population increase, with individuals who
are currently 25 years or older benefiting from the improvements in healthcare and better life quality conditions that are emerging expected to continue improving over the next 25 years. By
the year 2035 there is an expected population of 459,689 over the age of 50 years (US Census Bureaux, 2010). However, where there is an increasing population this will not
be reflected directly in the older population, the growth rate for the population over the age of 50 years equates to a 66% growth rate in 25 years time. When
