called the TI Ethics Quick Test: * Is the action legal? * Does it comply with our values? * If you do it, will you feel bad? * How will
it look in the newspaper? * If you know its wrong, dont do it! * If youre not sure, ask. * Keep asking until you get an answer (Texas Instruments,
2008). This is such a simple list of questions but it covers all bases beginning with whether or not the action is legal. If it is not legal, it
is not ethical. An even stronger message is internal - how will you feel if you do it? This list is applicable to anyone in any organization. Of course, employees
must know what the companys values are to answer the second question. The companys Code of Business Conduct is comprised of 17 principles and standards of behavior everyone in
the company is expected to follow (Texas Instruments, Code, 2008). These include things like making full disclosure of any possible conflict of interest, avoiding any activity, including meals, that could
be perceived as compromising the companys decision making regarding suppliers, customers or anyone else, making certain all records are accurate, and the expectation that any employee will report anything they
observe that could be unethical behavior (Texas Instruments, Code, 2008). The company places the first responsibility for ethical behavior with each and every employee themselves (Texas Instruments, Compliance, 2008). After
