people, I shred (diamond cut) all documents that have my name or any other identifying information on them. Even though, items in my trash that would provide information include envelopes
with creditors or organizational names on them; prescription and health supplement containers, old magazines, empty food and beverage containers, old magazines, newspapers, some tax-related statements and invoices without personal identification
that are at least seven years old, empty laundry and cleaning supply containers, empty containers of personal hygiene supplies, empty tubes of oil and acrylic paints, last years calendars that
are annotated, personally addressed advertisements (without my name and address on them), old clothes, cash register receipts and lots more. All of this would offer a great deal of information
about me even though I am so careful about shredding personal and financial information. When police go through a suspected terrorists trash, they hope to find anything that would suggest
who the others are in that cell, anything that can shed light on terrorist plans for attacks, empty containers of materials that could be used to make a bomb, traces
of materials related to viral or bacterial warfare, empty food cartons and many of the same items identified above. Criminals and terrorists are very clever but they are also
careless and sometimes stupid because they become overconfident. Police use any what they find to make connections, to gain a clue about others involved in the terrorist cell or plot.
