of people who love each other deeply, but are unable-due to details pertaining to character or circumstance-to effectively communicate effectively with each other. Despite their love, each play contains instances
where there is a break down in communication and a failure to effectively understand one another. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof This play gets its descriptive title from
the precarious position of one of its main characters, Maggie, the wife of a wealthy plantation owners son. Having been rejected by her husband, she tenaciously clings to the marriage
with the hope that eventually things will change. She tells Brick in Act one that if she really believed that hed never make love to her again she would kill
