problems exist in our society, for example problems related to family conditions or conditions in society in general. There are many ways in which this problem can be studied, and
many focuses studies involving teenaged drinking can take. For example, a study could be conducted to see if more girls than boys drink, of one particular ethnic group drinks more
than another, what economic conditions are for those who drink, or homelife situations involving teens who drink. With that in mind the following paper sets out to discuss if more
young women or more young men, in white middle class families, drink alcohol. 1. Problem area to be studied While a great deal of studies have been conducted
concerning how ethnic groups drink more than another ethnic group, there seems to be little information about white middle class drinking, or white middle class drinking as it relates to
females and males. Such a study could provide information for further research in relationship to problems that may exist for the youth. For example, such a research may indicate that
more young women than young men drink, which may lead to understanding that more young women in white middle class societies are feeling lost, alone, experiencing family problems, or confusion
about their future. There are many reasons why this subject group would prove to offer valuable information and many possible results that could lead to further research. 2.
Population sample to be studied As mentioned, the population group to be examined would be white middle class youth. These individuals would be from middle class families, perhaps primarily in
