Technology has become a progressively more important part
of our everyday lives. Many factors influence how we incorporate technology into our lives, however. These factors include such things as what we do in our every day
lives. If we are students, for example, we may be not only more receptive to certain types of technology but more in need of it than would say a
seamstress in a factory. A very important influence in our integration of technology, as well, is the mass media. Indeed, the media can have a pronounced influence
on our views in regard to technology. The media typically introduces us to technology via advertising. It proceeds to trying to brainwash us into thinking that technology is
indispensable and something we must buy. Everything from the news to prime time television promotes new technologies and we are sponges sitting around waiting to suck that promotion in
to our very souls. Never-the-less, some technologies have very real applications in our lives and this factors, more so than any other, is what determines to what degree we
