new and innovative ways in which information can be communicated between two or more parties. For example, the internet, cell phones and texting, email and fax machines are now the
primary means of communication in modern society. All these technologies rely basically on lasers and fiber optics. Nowadays, people can chat real time via various sites such as Facebook and
AOL Instant Messaging. In addition, they can mount cameras on top of their computers and talk to each other around the globe with programs like Skype while looking at each
other. Many people have applauded these advancements because it has made their lives much more convenient. For example, they can pay bills online without having to go into a bank
or speak to a bank teller, they can order food from a restaurant without having to go into the establishment and they can buy an airline ticket without having to
drive to the airport. There is no question that technology is making communication (as well as daily transactions) much easier in todays advanced world but many are beginning to question
at what expense. In other words, because people can simply communicate to their friends, family and colleagues from their computer, they refrain from personal contact and it may be hard
