Essay / Research Paper Abstract
A 3 page paper discussing the method by which this company, a startup paper manufacturer, adopted and implemented the team structure in production. The initial goal was to develop fully self-directed work teams, and management believed that it would take between five and eight years to reach that point of development. Workers, however, believed that they could have reached full implementation in a much shorter period of time. The paper concludes that the company likely would have had even better results had it set an initial goal of developing fully self-directed work teams in a much shorter period of time.
