OR, Mesha is an Indian name for a boy and also means "ram born under sign of Aries" (Meaning-of-names.com, 2008). The name was given by the writers father. It is unknown to what meaning the parent subscribed to. The writers interests and goals are to become a successful teacher in the K-12 education system and to eventually earn a doctorate in this field. This is not a lifelong dream, in fact, it was decided only several years ago. The most important accomplishment to date is becoming a member of the International Honor Society. Goals do not include becoming wealthy, for that goal, the writer would certainly choose a different profession. The immediate goals upon becoming a teacher is to provide young children with a solid educational experience, which, will, in turn, give these students a better chance at becoming successful in the world themselves. History In practice, the first teacher was God who taught Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. In a more secular context, the next formal teachers would have rabbis and prophets. However, to bring this into the modern world, we must realize that teaching and education has an incredibly long and complex history.
