energy, communication systems, engineering material, chemicals, services, automobiles, and more (Saini, 2008). This is a global company with a presence in more than 100 countries (Saini, 2008). As might be
surmised, with so many companies in so many business sectors, the Tata Group offers thousands of different products (Saini, 2008). The very size and diversity of the Tata Group makes
it very difficult to study and analyze. More information is available for some of the different companies within the Tata Group. There are certain values that are common to all
companies. These would include integrity, honesty, excellence, understanding, responsibility and unity (Saini, 2008). Leadership insists on ethical conduct at all time, respect and fairness for everyone, and excellence in everything
any company does. One core strategy for the company is to grow and diversify through acquisitions and mergers with other companies (Saini, 2008). One strategic goal is to expand into
more countries but only if the company can have a meaningful presence (Saini, 2008). Another strategic goal is to make sure the companies have the raw materials they need, such
as steel (Saini, 2008). Towards the goal, the company plans to acquire more companies that have the raw materials Tata Groups companies need. The company has also acquired different companies
and brands that lead to a more global presence. They acquired Daimler Chrysler, for instance. And before that, they acquired Jaguar. Tata Motors incurred debt when they made these
acquisitions. One of their financial goals is to have a healthy cash flow and to have fiscal stability. In 2009, the company issued "global depository receipts (GDRs) and convertible bonds"
