the potential to be a bewildering array of possibilities. It will be important for the student working on this project to recognize that leadership is not an attitude of style
or some sort of "disguise." Rather it is a state of being in which the ultimate conclusion is the melding of multiple agendas, personalities, and motivation toward a single
and common goal. That goal will be making technology a natural and necessary part of the educational processes already occurring in the classroom. A fundamental understanding of
computers is essential for their optimal use by anybody but it is still possible for somebody to live in 2003 without ever having to actually touch a computer, much less
be proficient in using one. Almost everybody knows somebody who resolutely states "I dont want one of those machines in my house." However, it is absolutely essential that the young
students of the 21st century learn about computers and how to use them at an early age. By the time they graduate from high school, computers will have moved beyond
commonplace to being as necessary to modern life as indoor plumbing and electric lights. That reason alone makes it important for teachers and school administrators to understand that computer education
and training should be a part of every schools curriculum. Added to that, is the fact that children can and do learn more when technology is integrated into the classroom.
