organizations mission statement focuses on compassionate treatment for alcoholism, drug addition and co-occurring disorders. Even more important, the organization is trying to reduce the stigma associated with addiction and mental
illness. The organization also has a vision statement (especially from the nursing side): to lead the field of addiction treatment, honoring the dignity
and uniqueness of those served with a spirit of recovery and personal empowerment. The values of the organization include sobriety, compassion, ethics, respect and empowerment, along with knowledge, awareness, responsibility
and a strong philosophy as it pertains to the nursing practice. The purpose of this assignment is to compare and contrast the mission,
statement and philosophy of Turning Points nursing program with that of an educational institution allied with the organization. As we couldnt find a specific educational institution that was allied with
the Turning Point program, well select a smattering of New Jersey based educational programs and study those mission statements. For example, Rutgers Universitys
