World War II, significant changes in industrial production and management occurred. American industry refused to address a number of important changes that were occurring around the world (White and
Wolf, 1995). While Japan was addressing their increasing industrial processes by an emerging focus on robotics, American industrial manufacturers refused to consider this alternative (White and Wolf, 1995).
