making abilities. Of course, one should not single out the entertainment industry, because every occupation and every facet of life, and every individual will at some point wrestle with his
or her own personal ethical dilemmas. Understanding where ones opinions come from and why one believes as one does allows one to better judge a situation and to become proactive
rather than reactive. The actual study of ethics examines the basic desired goals of a person and his/her development of concepts such as right and wrong(Thiroux 2000). Interestingly enough, what
may be considered right in one country, is definitely wrong in another. This is something that sociologists and philosophers are fascinated by. In addition, the concepts of right and wrong
may hinder a person from attaining their goal and the study of this impedance may also be studied. However, one should not confuse
morals with ethics. Morals generally pertain to certain practices followed within a culture. Ethics are those ideas that either support or do not support these practices. In other words, morals
refer to certain actions and ethics is the reasoning or rationale behind the actions. Morals may or may not have been subjected to close ethical consideration by the individual or
culture. An example of this might be an individuals belief on whether sex before marriage is right or wrong. Everyone has
