of agriculture. In this paper, well present a PESTLE analysis of the UAE to determine the state of the equine industry among these states and to determine the need for
potential equine exams that would be exported to this part of the Middle East region. First, its interesting to take a look
at the overview of the "horse" industry in the UAE. Theres little doubt that UAE horses are prized for their skills in international horse racing and are much sought after
as a result of this (United Arab Emirates, 2003). As such, when it comes to importing horses (at least horses from the European Union), the UAE works hard to ensure
that equine imports are free from disease or other problems (United Arab Emirates, 2003). As such, these horses have to undergo quarantine both in a government-approved facility in the exporting
country and time in quarantine in the UAE (United Arab Emirates, 2003). In addition, the UAE requires that the horses travel with the services of a well-trained groom (United Arab
Emirates, 2003). In this way, the UAE ensures that both the horses it breeds, as well as the horses it imports, are free from equine diseases.
In the issue of equine exams, what needs to be taken into account here is that the countrys Ministry has veterinarians to check the horses
on a regular basis (at least those imported). There is little information, however, as to whether or not horses that are bred in the UAE are under ministry protection. Given
