Constitution and the development of the Congressional procedures used on Capitol Hill. Most would be surprised to learn that a good deal of the legislative ideas came from England, the
very place they had just divorced themselves from. However, in a close examination of the history of both Parliament and Congressional procedures, executive branches and functions, one can readily see
the heavy influence of Great Britain. The founding fathers, when they outlined the articles in the Constitution, wanted to purposely form a government that did not give any one person
too much power or control over the process or the country. If they had learned anything from being subjects of the British Empire, it was that a tightly controlled government
with a King presiding was not a good idea and could lead to tyranny. Since they had already experienced this sort of government, it was doubly assured through the composition
of the new government that this should never have a way of happening. With this framework in place, then, it was assured that no one branch could overstep its bounds
and thus deny the ordinary citizen of assured rights and civilities. This is commonly called the system of checks and balances. This system has gone largely unchanged since its implementation
during the early history of the country. Since early man started banding together with others of his kind, one major concern, other than food, shelter and a mate, was Whos
