country. British ministers have given very little indication that they are effective in understanding and protecting the rights of their electorate, while industry suffers because politicians deny their role in
the demise. With the new European regulations taking effect, many are beginning to believe that many policies are being made and imposed over the head of Parliament. Given this, then,
it seems logical to conclude that to understand the process of policy formation in the United Kingdom one must focus on the political parties and their agendas rather than focusing
on ineffectual legislators and Parliament. From many of the reports coming out of Britain, it seems that the general voter malaise that is seen in the United States is also
shared by their kin across the big pond. Many voters feel that the rights and privileges which they have fought many wars (including two world wars) are being squandered away
by representatives acting in a very undemocratic style. Many blame the new reorganization of the European alliance, while others state that policy formation has always been affected more by the
political parties and outside interests moreso than the actual legislators. Already European unification can be said to have brought large trading and business opportunities that are more or less unprecedented.
This also had the added domino effect of spilling over into the employment sectors as more workers were needed to cope with the increased demands that the economic boom created.
Of course, all is not a bed of roses, and there are still many glitches to be worked out. What may very well make or break the success of a
