for various reasons, it did underline the deep-down problem. There is more obesity in the west today (and in some Asian countries) due to many factors. Eating more meals at
McDonalds is only part of the issue. Other issues include an on-the-go lifestyle, larger portions and less exercise. The on-the-go lifestyle means nutritious meals tend to go out the window.
The sedentary lifestyle means people arent moving around as much. And, as a result, theyre packing on more pounds. Those who are
overweight, or obese, end up with diseases ranging from Type II Diabetes to stroke, heart attack and general self-esteem issues. This, in turn, puts more stress on various countries health
care systems, and furthermore leads to an increase in sick days at the office. Critics of the McDonalds case pointed out that McDonalds
wasnt the only one to blame. What they could have also pointed out was that the way to help reduce obesity and accompanying disease is through a healthy way of
eating that promotes balance, moderation and good nutrition. Such a diet improves health, prevents many diseases, boosts energy and promotes a persons well-being. Additionally, healthy eating is more a lifestyle
