war is most anyone knows about the area. Dai Richards has sought to bridge the educational gap in presenting his Fifty Years War in a way that is not only
informative, entertaining, but is also done objectively which is refreshing. Historical overview of the Fifty years war: Speak of Israel today and immediately people think of the war torn
area of the Gaza strip. Both the Arabs and the Jews still lay claim to Jerusalem. In fact, if this war between the two peoples were just about land, the
Arabs have many surrounding Arab nations to which they could turn to for donated land, or a like ideology. Instead, it is more than a battle about real estate; it
is a holy war of religions and philosophies. Todays perception of the Palestinian people is that of homeless nomads, terrorists, angry, swarthy, with a bent for destruction and chaos. But,
one only needs to look back as far as the early 1900s to see that it was Israel, not Palestine that were without a homeland. In fact, much of the
hostility that exists between these two peoples stems from the fact that they have warred over the same piece of territory generation after generation. The Fifty Years War, which began
in 1947, started with the single incident of granting Israel a portion of land which was held by the Palestinians. Historical events portrayed in the film: Many
of the major events which are touched upon are the initial partitioning of Palestine, the war which immediately followed that, and the larger war in 1967. What is also included
