These days, however, businesses have blogs, too. Some businesses have internal blogs to communicate directly with employees. And many of these businesses are finding
that blogging can actually reduce costs of information dissemination. One blogger discussing corporate blogging points out that setting up the blog
costs next to nothing - what costs are the time and resources necessary for upkeep (Ekin, 2007). "A blog, by its nature, needs to be fed with new content on
a fairly regular basis" to keep people coming back (Ekin, 2007). But the good news is that blogging is an informal method of communication - posting doesnt need to take
a whole lot of time (Ekin, 2007). Whats even nicer about corporate blogging is that it can be done from a
relatively low-cost platform (Heires, 2005). The software is easy to use, and it streamlines efforts to put material on the blog. Even better, written material can be made available and
linked to other blogs (Heires, 2005). This is the upside of blogs - employees can share brainstorming, information, and even venting
(if its done carefully). It can also save costs, to an extent. But the main problem is that employees find they are spending more time blogging an finding fresh material
