What remains evident in any of these cases is that the weather is not going to go away, the number thirteen will always be a part of the numbering system,
and that the information age is not going to go away. So, give this, then, how does one cope with the press of modern technology when one is suspicious, wary,
even fearful of it? Technology is a wonderful tool that many businesses employ. It helps an employer keep track of records, billing,
accounts receivable, to name a few, and should contribute to the overall efficiency of the company. One of the key components to upgrading and implementing new technology is by the
simple addition of a computer system. However, those who are technophobes see this not as a convenience but as a threat. Most
see technology as a tool and as a way of making life easier, but to those who are technophobes the resultant increase in technology means replacing people in key positions
with machines. However, the prevailing question that arises from this is the idea that throughout mankinds history inventions have made various positions obsolete. For example, whatever happened to the person
who created the buggy whip? Many believe that technophobia is a modern syndrome, but in fact, it is not. During the Industrial
Revolution people were voicing many of the same concerns. If history has taught us anything it is that mankind is one of the most adaptable bio-organisms alive on the planet.
When something or someone becomes obsolete, they adapt, develop new skills so that they could once again be needed. This seems to happen in every new technology age.
