that the pace of technological change in the business world has increased in previous years. Less than 30 years ago, the majority of topics were produced on electric typewriters, and
if those documents needed to be sent elsewhere, they were either shipped via the mail or through teletype. In the past 30 years, weve seen huge advances in technology --
from development of the personal computer to the opening of the Internet and accompanying e-mail. Bob Little, vice president of product marketing at ZANTAZ points out that "e-mail has become
the glue that holds business together, both within organizations and between organizations" (Moore, 2007, S3). The main advantage, of course, is that
information can be made available to more people more quickly. Instead of relying on teletype (or even fax) to get a document from point A to point B, an e-mail
attachment can get that document to the other side of the world in seconds. The use of personal computers also means that documents and other writings can be stored more
conveniently (and with less space required). Another upside to the rapid technological changes is the impact on the company itself. A study
