Working on a team can be very rewarding. It can also be somewhat frustrating. As a team member, one is being asked to throw in his/her
lot, so to speak, with others, for the good of a particular goal. Truly effective teams are made up of individuals who are from different backgrounds and have different viewpoints,
and yet are able to work together. This doesnt mean there arent ever any disagreements. But a cohesive team understands this, and doesnt allow disagreements to interfere with the
ultimate project goal. A team charter can help as well. The charter is a formal agreement between team members that provides a road
map of how to stay out of trouble and what to do if, for example, disagreements blow up to the point that they impact the unity and cohesiveness of the
team. The team were considering for a charter consists of members Cynthia, Erica and Samir. The great thing about this team is each
member brings unique qualities. But with those unique qualities comes some possible problems. Cynthia is outgoing and has the qualities for a natural
leader. She is a visionary as well. Though her scores indicate she would do well in sales, advertising or finance, she has a genuine concern for helping others. On the
negative side, Cynthia also has a low tolerance for incompetence and tends to be argumentative. We can probably add impatience to the list as well, given the former two characteristics
mentioned. Erica is the organizer. She is practical and trustworthy. Erica is also a good listener. Organizational skills and practicality are very good
