place which are, in theory, to help the teachers improve their methods of imparting information to their students. In this paper, well
examine three such systems: the pre-conference, the observation and the post-conferences. Well discuss the differences between these particular systems and what types of activities take place in each process or
phase. These are also called, by many schools, the pre-observation meeting, a class observation and a post-observation meeting (Klinkum, 2003). At the
pre-conference stage, the teacher and administrator meet for a brief time (typically ten to twenty minutes) to discuss the goal of the particular session for the students and what the
students are able to understand by the end of the particular class or learning endeavor (Educational Development, 2001). In addition, its important to determine the purpose of the observation (Klinkum,
2003). During the pre-conference stage, both the teacher and principal can discuss specific things that could be observed and commented upon, and
perhaps something the teacher might like some feedback on (Educational Development, 2001). At this time as well, the actual functions of the
observation should be determined, what will be done with the information and how it will be used (to help the teacher, to evaluate him or her, as part of the
