paper also examines main characters and conflicts within the story. Summary of Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer In this particular book of the series Bella still wants to be
a vampire and Edward is incredibly reluctant to grant her that wish. Other characters are Jacob, a long time friend of Bella who happens to be a werewolf, Victoria, a
truly bad vampire who seeks revenge, and Alice, who is sort of Edwards sister. In the beginning of the story one of the major conflicts emerges as the reader
understands that many people are dying in Seattle. It is feared that they are being killed by vampires and when Alice has a vision about Victoria it is assumed that
she is the leader of this group and then they discover that there is a group of bad vampires who have joined under Victoria and are seeking blood. It should
be noted that Edward, and his family, are not vampires who prey on humans. While this is hard for them they prefer to not harm humans and so this puts
Edward and the "good" vampires at odds with Victorias group. It should also be noted that Victoria is out for revenge because previously Edward killed her mate. The werewolves
also take sides and side with Edward and his people in order to battle the bad vampires. In the end they win but a group known as the Varden arrive
and after killing the last bad vampire tell Edward and Bella that she should become a vampire or else the Varden will have to kill her. This is not a
