controversy regarding the Bayesian as opposed to the frequentist view. This well known divide is examined and the author takes a fresh look at the dilemma, but not before defining
and exploring each of the positions. Although one might agree that to some extent, each method is useful in its own right, the problem is that when teaching the subject
of statistics, there is a dilemma as to what points exactly to relay. Which way should a teacher or professor go when there are choices to be made? Teaching
both positions can be confusing, but not only that, it can limit the teaching of other points. At the same time, choosing one position is limiting in and of itself.
The author explores such topics as the different positions are analyzed. This article provides suggestions for teachers who want to relay the two paradigms to students. The article is written
in an easy to use format so that implementation of the suggestions is appropriate in many educational settings. Finally, while the article broaches a statistical subject area, it relays advice
that may be applied to other disciplines. The gist of the advise is that teaching more than one point of view is preferred over teaching the perspective of the moment.
