course. This is followed with excerpts and comments about those excerpts. In some cases, students identified the course objectives with a heading of competencies gained followed by the list
of objectives using the past tense. The observer may conclude the student believes they gained that knowledge or obtained those skills. In other cases, some students said the course was
an eye opener and caused them to think differently. The greatest outcome of any course is for the student to think about whatever the topic is differently. They should then
be able to put that knowledge or those skills in practice. It is not easy for a student to really and accurately describe what they gained from any class or
course. One issue is that they do not always have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills immediately. More often than not, at some time in the future, the
student (who would then be in a leadership or management position) will know what to do in their job when faced with a problem and that knowledge actually came from
