late twentieth century. In an ongoing effort to combat the negative aspects of stress, it is critical that the populace learns to manage its stress level. In general,
people do not know how to allow their bodies to relax, which is a natural method of stress control. Humanity is all too often in a constant state of
tension with no available release for penned up stress. One can readily argue the fact that stress is a precursor for many diseases.
When the body/mind connection is placed in such a position of compromise, there can be no way to avoid detrimental impact that can manifest itself in the form of
various cancers, depression, lupus, cardiovascular problems and Crohns disease, just to name a few. Not only can stress influence the onset of the disease, but mental anxiety can also
inhibit effective healing, as well (Hermon-Taylor et al, 1998). Psychological stress is linked with just about every aspect of contemporary life; people are ill-equipped to deal with the daily
demands that have escalated over the past century, with the population as a whole being forced to assume more and more responsibility in an already overloaded society. The body
