during the planning process. If the planning stage included an outline of who is going to be responsible for which part of the plan, those people can develop their
own smaller action plans, which would include action steps. The plan needs to include a monitoring and follow up plan to let everyone know that the progress of plan will
be monitored (McNamara, 2012). Those responsible for implementing parts of the plan will be more likely to stay on course if they know progress will be evaluated. Typically, managers
are responsible for implementing specific sections of the overall plan. In other words, they convert strategy into operational actions. The best strategic plan is useless if it is not operationalized
(Bhasin, 2010). There must be an appropriate organizational climate to implement the strategic choices that have been made. It requires cooperation and commitment. Implementing the plan requires people who will
be dedicated to the plan. Top managers can help this process by explaining and informing people of the purpose of the plan and why the specific choices were made (Bhasin,
2010). Leading by example is one way to demonstrate to the people how important it is to implement the strategies. Organizational structure is important for the implementation stage. The
structure reflects how the different parts of the organization are related and interrelated to each other (Bhasin, 2010). It reflects interconnections and relationships between positions and activities. The structure must
