take. RESEARCH PURPOSE In Sjostrom, Dahlgren and Haljamaes article, the researchers presented their research purpose first through their introduction and then
through the direction the study took. The authors considered the current situation with regard to post-operative pain management and the ways in which the patients experience, the assessment of
the nurse and the medication which is subsequently prescribed are interrelated. The authors point out that despite considerable research into the topic of pain management, it is still considered as
