They own and operate 150 cemeteries and 240 funeral homes in 27 states and Puerto Rico (Oliver, 2006). They offer just about the same services as Service Corporation International with the exception of disaster recovery services. Stewarts Chariman Emeritus, Frank Stewart Jr., still holds 30 percent of the voting power for the company (Oliver, 2006).
