Inc. in 1976 with Steve Wozniak. He co-designed the Apple II, led the development of the Macintosh computer and turned Apple into a $2 billion company. Paradoxically, he saw Apple
Computer Inc as a New Age family of fervent Macintosh fans but at the same time, he kept his own daughter and her mother out of his life. In fact,
he initially refused to admit paternity (Krantz 5). In 1985, Jobs co-founded NeXT Computer Inc. He is also a CEO and president Pixar Animation Studios, which he bought in 1986.
Pixar has made movies, such as Toy Story 2 and A Bugs Life. Jobs has been the recipient of a number of awards, such as the National Technology Medal
in 1985, Jefferson Award for Public Service in 1987, and Entrepreneur of the Decade by Inc. magazine in 1989 (Krantz 5). In the early days of Apple, Jobs was known
as a fiery, temperamental, tense person. Employees did not even want to be on the elevator alone with him for fear they would be fired by the time they reached
the next floor. He was pure and simply an iconoclast and it was either his way or the highway. Anyone who did not feel as passionately as he did, did
not stay with the company. John Scully, president of Apple Corporation fired Jobs in 1985 (Krantz 5). As Apple Corporation floundered and was near extinction, the Board brought
Jobs back as interim CEO and he has, as everyone knows, turned the company around with his iMac. Some say he still has "anger management" issues and is quick into
a tirade. Some who have been with the company since his first tenure still do not want to get on the elevator alone with him. Others say that he has
