A negative stereotype based in truth that is both well-earned and perpetuated with each new election, politicians regularly invoke the same image to all constituents no matter if they reside
at the local, state or national level. While there are some politicians who strive to overcome such a harsh stereotype with what seems at the time as genuine, honest
campaign promises, it is difficult to find anyone who has been elected into office without having significantly modified those pledges. Others enter politics with a personal agenda that clouds
their ethical decision-making ability; those are the ones who freely take from the constituency in the form of taxpayer-funded trips, gifts and many other inappropriate perks. Overall, politicians of
the last century have transformed the nature of political pursuit into one fraught with ethical potholes that do not stymie their self-serving objectives and earning the accurate stereotype of being
"congenital liars" (Klein, 2007, p. 166). II. TATTOOED PERSONS Does the sixty-year-old grandmother with a butterfly tattoo on her ankle elicit the same stereotypical attitude as a twenty-something male
whose body is not only covered with copious tattoos but those that are indicative of devil worshipping? Indeed, the truthful stereotype of tattooed persons is geared at a specific
subset of this group whose antisocial actions (i.e. criminality) have created such a bias, not the least of which includes the negative image of gangs that is upheld by a
large portion of the population. Another accurate aspect of this stereotype is how the existing and ever-growing association with gangs has proven detrimental to communities across the nation that
