that condones any man-made evolution no matter the broader consequences. Stem cell research was brought into keen focus as the world learned about it from late President Reagans long and
distressing experience with Alzheimers disease. Previous scientific testing that had been conducted illustrated a connection between utilizing stem cells - the undeveloped blood cells from umbilical cord blood -
and positive response to such debilitating and fatal diseases as Alzheimers. However, in the rush to establish a stronghold in this area of medical advancement that purports to save
lives, the necessary research requires the taking of other lives, which presents a dichotomy of highly objectionable proportions. After President Reagan succumbed to
complications attributed to Alzheimers disease, Nancy Reagan stepped up her vehement campaign in support of stem cell research to help scientists address the potentiality of treatment and/or cure. As
fast as she spread the word about how beneficial stem cells are for future medical research involving myriad diseases, President Bush - representing those with strong ethical and moral convictions
