small shop, the company grew by leaps and bounds during the 1990s and 2000s until a Starbucks coffee shop could be found on the corner of every town. Being so
massive and so successful has not been an easy task for the coffee giant even though its rapid growth and swell in popularity has resulted in it being one of
the most recognizable brands on the market today. This paragraph provides the student with assistance in analyzing the major threats to Starbucks. One
issue faced by Starbucks is the imitation of its brand. With so many copying the company, it has become lost in a sea of competitors (Forbes, 2010). Other chains, especially
fast food chains, have started offering premium coffee drinks as part of their menu option and this has really put a bind on Starbucks. This problem has the potential to
cost the company severely. What is needed is a severe overhaul of business operations that places a renewed cultural emphasis on the innovation that made Starbucks successful in the first
