10, is to measure student aptitude in basic elements, including language arts (reading, spelling, language), mathematics, science, social studies and general understanding skills, including study skills and listening (Carney, 2007).
This test was created to measure aptitude or achievement in school aged populations and is broken down into four forms with 13 levels. In each of these levels,
the test can be broken down into the following: basic battery, complete battery, abbreviated battery, and language only battery, except for the Stanford Early School Achievement Test, which only
has the choice of the basic battery or complete battery components. The tenth edition was created to address some of the issues present in the 9th edition, including the
fact that school curricula have changed and that national assessment trends have also changed in recent years. This edition was also created to integrate components that correspond with existing
curricula and learning models, including the use of full-color illustrations and instructional materials that reflect the changes in modern textbooks (Carney, 2007). In addition, improvements were made to the
10th edition through the addition of reading materials for the reading assessment and written sections that were created by childrens authors (Carney, 2007). The outcomes of the testing include
color-enhanced reports that reflect current trends and create more comparative data (Carney, 2007). Changes in the study were assessed based on
