to their employees. The priority is to provide employees with the same concern, respect, and caring attitude that the company expects them to share with each and every customer (Southwest
Airlines, 2011c). They provide a stable work environment and encourage creativity and innovation to improve effectiveness. The company states that it operates with Warrior Spirit, a Servants Heart, and
a Fun-LUVing Attitude" (Southwest Airlines, 2011c). They are dedicated to the communities they serve, to the planet, and to their stakeholders. There are two quick facts that demonstrate that
Southwests mission and vision are demonstrated by their financial performance. First, they celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2011 (Ahles, 2011). Second, 2010 was their 38th consecutive years of profitability. These
facts are also directly related to their vision for Stakeholders for a sustainable future. Many companies identify their goal for stakeholders in terms of profit and growth. Southwests vision is
to achieve "a balance in our business model between Employees and Community, the Environment, and our Financial Viability" (Southwest Airlines, 2011c). They add another goal, which is to lead the
industry in technologies and practices that will conserve and protect natural resources. 2. Strategic Goals, Mission and Vision From the beginning, the goal has been to be the most
