Somewhere back in the beginning of civilization and continuing in throughout the European colonization, an unwritten law came into effect that proclaimed the White race as one that was better
than all others, much more deserving of lifes benefits and privileges, and free to ravage. This attitude has carried down through the centuries, despite much effort on all sides
to abolish such prejudicial practices. The social, political, economical and religious activities experienced in everyday life as represented in David Goodmans Fault Lines: Journeys into the New South Africa
exemplify the very essence of what it means to be a human being. These representations illustrate how and why the village of South Africa have experienced the ravages of
