not the sport itself. Anyone who knows anything about the sports industry today knows that it is not just a subject of entertainment and fun, a sport to be played
for the joy of it. It is a subject that is competitive in relationship to big business and economic wealth. The following paper examines Wetzel and Yaegers work.
Sole Influence In this book we are reminded how many years ago good basketball players were looked for but were not looked for in terms of what the athlete could
do for a business necessarily. A good player could easily be found wearing inexpensive canvas sneakers and be a relatively quiet personality. Today they do not look for mere talent,
but look for a spokesperson as well as an athlete. They do this to sell shoes and other products and to essentially make money, not necessarily just to have a
good team. Being a good basketball player is not enough it seems. In this work we see how the search is always on for the next Kobe Bryant or
Michael Jordan. And, interestingly enough, we see how these big companies are out there getting children as young as 14 to become loyal to their product in order to make
that money. And it does not end there are such big companies also seem to seek control of teams, coaches and even universities in order to make money. In essence,
