necessarily profit-driven in nature. For instance, in the discipline of social work, quality leadership is critical from a variety of perspectives. First of all, social workers themselves require superior leadership
in order to be matched with the people and institutions most in need of their expertise. Secondly, however, and perhaps more importantly, social workers are obligated to act as leaders
in their own right, leading their charges in a vital quest to secure a better quality of life and strive against economic, social, or familial hardships. For this reason, the
social worker is as highly invested in quality leadership as the CEO of a multinational corporation. In some sense, leadership might be even more critical to the social worker, because
of the extent to which they deal with the human commodity, rather than mere capital. This paper will explore the role of leadership in defining social worker practice and driving
professional development. This paragraph helps the student begin to explore their concept of a social worker. Within the field of social work, one can find many people idealistically devoted to
causes that are important to them. It is not an easy path to become a social worker, and as such, social workers tend to be motivated by key experiences and
