society today men and women essentially have the ability to be and do anything they want. But, that does not mean that men and women are the same or that
they engage, and react to, society in the same ways. Likewise, society does not treat men and women, girls and boys, the same. They both experience pressures, struggles, limitations, possibilities,
and expectations. The following paper examines whether it is boys or girls who face more challenges in society, with a focus on how it is girls who likely face more
challenges than boys. Social Struggles: Boys or Girls It should be understood that times are changing, and have been changing, for both boys and girls. Today boys have
a lot more freedom to become the keeper of the home and children than they did in the past, and to do so without a great deal of social ridicule.
And, girls are able to look forward to a future wherein they can truly be anything they want, even President of the United States. But, in these possibilities also lie
stress and pressure from society. For example, young men, boys, and grown men live in a society that all but emasculates them. They are expected to be, many would argue,
more like women in relationship to taking care of the home, being sensitive, sharing feelings and essentially becoming more of what women want them to be. This is very stressful
