dynamics of conditions like Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a personality disorder in which patients demonstrate a variety of impulsive behaviors, including many of
which are self-destructive. Individuals with BPD are often emotionally unstable and demonstrate substantive mood swings, especially in correlation with stressful events. One of the other indicators of BPD
is brief episodic psychosis, which can also be accompanied by repeated attempts at suicide, and it is not uncommon for psychiatrists to have their first interactions with a person with
BPD as a result of emergency room visits following suicidal attempts. The theoretical basis and etiology of the disorder is relatively unknown, but it has been recognized that both biological
