Indeed, social influence is an important topic in respect to marketing as well as daily living. Within the realm of social psychology, it seems that social influence is inextricably linked with social behavior and social relations. These concepts go hand in hand as for example, social influences will of course exert some control over behavior patterns. Social relationships will impact influence. If someone is in a particular kind of social relationship, it will influence them in a particular way. Yet, at the crux of this group of concepts appears to be social influence. Influence seems coercive at times, while subdued at other times. People are influenced by many things in the environment. Social influence is in fact a strong predictor of behavior.
