think that perhaps the nation is not fraught with social inequality or inequality and oppression as it pertains to minorities. But, unfortunately, such is not the case. In the United
States there is still a great deal of social inequality and inequality in relationship to minorities, even if those minorities sometimes outnumber the "white" people of the nation in some
locations. The following paper examines articles, and facts, that pertain to the existence of social and minority inequality. Social Inequalities and Minorities in the United States It is
perhaps first important to note that when one speaks of social inequalities one is speaking of, most likely, minorities in many respects such as people of ethnicity. But, it is
also a topic that involves men and women as well for many would well argue that men and women are a minority (in particular situations) in the nation. Most social
injustices and inequalities do, however, surround minorities and as such the paper will generally be discussing both at the same time. Prior to discussing all types of social inequalities,
that will for the most part be addressing minorities connected with race or ethnicity, it is well known that there is still what is called a glass ceiling when it
comes to women and employment. Women are still often held back from being able to obtain high level positions in many organizations, businesses and corporations. One could argue that they
are treated as less than intelligent in some social situations, such as that which would be associated with automobiles in terms of selling and repairing. Women are, in fact, seen
