event to smoke. There are arguments that indicates smoking should generally be made illegal in all places, perhaps even in the home. While many states have laws about smoking in
restaurants, there are still some states that have smoking and non-smoking sections within eating establishments. The argument presented in the following paper is that smoking should not be allowed in
restaurants. Smoking in Restaurants Many smokers will argue that smoking in a restaurant should be allowed because restaurants are generally equipped with very good ventilation systems that keep smoke
away from non-smokers. However, no matter how good the ventilation, those in a smoking section are generally right next to the non-smoking sections and smoke will move regardless of the
system. Smokers will argue that they have the right to smoke and non-smokers will argue that they have the right to be in places where no smoke exists. It
is a very volatile topic for many and it goes beyond peoples rights it seems because the point is that second hand smoke is very harmful. Regardless of whether or
not people want to smoke or be around smoke, the point is that it is dangerous to everyones health. Sure it is the right of a smoker to smoke if
they want. But it is not their right to inflict their smoke onto others who do not want it, especially when they are eating for smoke can be incredibly distasteful
and irritating. Smokers may argue that there is little proof that second hand smoke is bad for you. One author notes, however, "A study published by the Journal of
the American Medical Association indicates that nonsmokers exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke may be at risk for circulatory problems" (NoSmoking.org, 2005). Another article indicates the following: "Even if you dont
