at the expense of blacks. A student writing on this subject will want to approach the problem from different angles. If binding of the wound, which is certainly a
significant one, can bring national unity to various countries, then why should they not go forward? Perhaps a more important question is not pertinent to binding of the wound, but
also about what is most important in creating unity in the world. It is hard to discuss the problem without confronting old
wounds. Degler (1994) looks at racism in the United States and Brazil, which is quite interesting. The history of racism in both nations is disconcerting. There seems to be many
wounds to heal and perhaps binding of the wound would be a good way to correct matters. At the same time, other questions loom large. In the United States for
examples, things have changed immensely since the days of slavery. At the same time, many wounds have not healed. When looking at
slavery, one also has to look at the conventions in the days that it existed. It is hard to fathom the concept of accepting the ownership of people but during
