This boy, Brett, is a lover of skating and so naturally is inclined to use this skateboard and essentially have fun. The following paper is a book report on this
book by Christopher. "Skateboarder Tough" by Matt Christopher As mentioned in the introduction, the primary character is Brett. Brett is new in town and he finds this magical
skateboard that once belonged to a very famous skateboarder who is now dead. Of course he was very excited, as any young skater would be in finding such a prize
in their backyard. Brett uses this skateboard, hoping to prove he is better at skating than some other characters and essentially showing
off to people such as W.E, Kyle Robinson, Johnee, and Shannon. These are the other children in the book and Bretts main rival is Kyle because Kyle is really good
at skating. Because he wants to beat Kyle Brett easily succumbs to the magic of the skateboard so that he can show everyone just how good he is, even though
it is not really his own skill but the magic of the skateboard doing the tricks. Almost every child wants to be the best at something and when they are
not they feel bad about themselves. Brett is like this and he so wants to be the best, especially since he is in a new place. He doesnt want to
be ordinary and this skateboard makes him feel special. With this magic skateboard Brett is able to do many tricks that he was never able to do before and
so he feels he can really beat other skaters. One of the issues in the plot, however, is that in this new town Brett finds himself in, there is no
