change is going to be successful. Public security officials have a great duty to make sure that any change taken place goes smoothly and effortlessly. There are several leadership theories
that best suits dramatic transitions that are commonly encountered in the public safety arena. The key for managers and supervisors is to correctly identify which of these theories best suits
the situation and then to implement the theory in order to proceed with any needed changes. This paragraph helps the student assess the
underlying determinants of leadership efficacy. It is first important to identify what type of change is mostly likely to be encountered when it comes to public safety. There are four
types of change each one offering certain aspects that can be beneficial to the needed task (Eliyana, 2010). Developmental change is ideal for when an organization or business wants to
improve a part of their business such as methods or standards. Transitional change is used when entire procedures need to change and while the realm of public safety often calls
for new procedures and methods it is not ideal for the situation. It is transformational change that most falls in line with the need of public safety administrations and supervisors.
