management realizes that the way the company approaches a major change can be as crucial as the change itself. Its beginning approach was to bring in a change management
consultant and to identify the three areas that would be most affected by the change that would occur. The simulation then led the user through the process of choosing
one or two change management strategies in each of those three departments, strategies best suited to the individual department and the people within it. Concurrent with this exercise was
the task of choosing a resistance management strategy for each department. Some months later the company evaluated the change it had implemented, and
needed to choose leading indicators that were measurable, relevant and accurate. It then needed to address weak areas and so was faced with choosing the best method of addressing

suppliers to provide the materials necessary to make the change occur. Of course the community is affected, but it is company employees who are most directly and immediately affected.
